GAME SEVEN: IU Travels East to Take On Navy

Closing out its non-conference schedule, the Indiana football team (2-4, 0-3 Big Ten) heads to Annapolis, Md., to face Navy (3-3) on Saturday, Oct. 20. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. EDT at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium (34,000; FieldTurf) and CBS Sports Network will broadcast the game.

GAMEDAY CENTRAL

Indiana and Navy will meet for the third time overall and the first time in Annapolis. The Hoosiers won the previous two meetings in 1985 (38-35) and 1986 (52-29). Navy is the only service academy IU has ever faced.

THE COACHES
• Kevin Wilsonis in his second season as head coach at Indiana. Wilson spent the 2002-10 seasons at Oklahoma, where he served as co-offensive coordinator and offensive line coach from 2002-05 and as offensive coordinator and tight ends and fullbacks coach from 2006-10. OU played in seven Big 12 title games in Wilson's nine years, going 6-1 in those appearances. His offenses were vital to accumulating an overall record of 99-24 (.805) during his time in Norman, including seven 10-win seasons.

• Ken Niumatalolo is 35-24 (.593) in his fifth season as head coach at Navy. Niumatalolo became the first coach to lead Navy to a bowl game in each of his first three seasons as a head coach.

NEWS & NOTES
• Indiana's 49 points against Ohio State were the most an IU team has scored against OSU in the 86-game series and the most surrendered by a Buckeyes team since 1994.

• It marked the most points the Hoosiers have scored in a Big Ten game since a 56-21 victory over Northwestern on Nov. 3, 2001. The 49 points are tied for the sixth-most points ever scored by Indiana in a Big Ten game.

• IU had never scored more against a top 10 opponent.

• For just the second time in school history (1988), the Hoosiers have scored at least 24 points in six straight games in the same season. The 1988 team also opened the season with six consecutive 24-plus point contests.

• Indiana leads the Big Ten in passing offense (313.0-15th nationally) and kickoff returns (25.4-22nd), is second in total offense (473.0-22nd) and third in scoring offense (35.5-32nd).

• IU's 7.5 tackles for loss per game rank second in the league and 19th nationally.

• The Hoosiers defense has 13 sacks and 45 TFLs. Indiana didn't reach those totals until game 10 last year.

• DT Adam Replogleleads all Big Ten defensive linemen (16th overall in league) with 6.8 tackles per game.

• Tevin Colemanleads the conference with a 28.1 kick return average.

• Cody Latimer is fourth in the Big Ten in receiving yards (71.8) and eighth in receptions (4.5). Shane Wynn is tied for fifth in receptions (5.2) and Kofi Hughes is ninth in receiving yards (60.2).
