East Central made sure its trip from St. Leon to Tiernan Center wasn’t for naught.

The Trojans rallied to edge Richmond 3-2 in boys tennis on Monday.

The Red Devils held a 2-1 advantage before the Trojans took victories at No. 2 singles and No. 2 doubles to close out the team win.

“We have to finish,” said RHS coach Randy Hollingsworth. “We didn’t finish tonight.”

Henry Dickman won at No. 3 singles for the Red Devils, while Corey Cox and Jordan Lake teamed for the No. 1 doubles victory.

Those wins put Richmond ahead 2-1, before East Central’s Jason Bosse won at No. 2 singles to even the score.

Michael McCann and Alex Hobbie were up one set, but trailed 5-2 in the second set before rallying to win 7-6 (7) to send the Trojans back home with an 8-3 record.
