Then the Red Devils found the lead, a place they had been only twice this season. But Union County found the final resolve, scoring the game-tying goal as the non-league rivals battled to a 2-2 tie Tuesday on the Union County High School football field. The Patriots opened the scoring when Megan Abbott took a pass, discarded RHS goalie Mariah Steele with one deft move and rolled in a shot with the Red Devils defense in chase. RHS countered on an unusual play late in the first half. Megan Bell sent a long pass toward the penalty box. Union County goalie Aryana Cotton rushed into a scrum with a teammate and three RHS players. All five went down and the ball rolled into the back of the net, with Sam Wilson of Richmond getting credit for the goal and Bell the assist. http://www.pal-item.com/article/20120904/SPORTS/309040017/Devils-Patriots-tie-2-2?nclick_check=1
