RHS FINISHES THIRD

NEW CASTLE, IND. — Union County finished first for the second straight day as the Patriots, Hagerstown and Richmond took the top three spots in Tuesday’s New Castle Invitational at Westwood.

Union County tallied 335 to win. Hagerstown was second with 340 and Richmond third with 356.

Ryleigh Waltz led Union County with her 79. The Patriots also won the Richmond Invitational on Monday.

“I really like the score. We’re right in the same area,” said UC coach Tony Gulley. “That’s what I was really impressed with.”

Shelly Shafer of Hagerstown was fourth overall with her 75.
