Lamar Odom has come full circle in his NBA career. The veteran forward is heading back to the team that drafted him - the Clippers.
The Clippers and Dallas Mavericks were able to agree to a four-team trade also involving the Utah Jazz and Houston Rockets.
What made the deal possible was guard Mo Williams exercised the $8.5 million option on his contract, which allowed the Clippers to consummate a deal to send him to Utah.
Georgia running back Isaiah Crowell was arrested early Friday morning and dismissed from the team later in the day. He faces three charges, two of which are felonies.
According to the Athens-Clarke County website, Crowell was booked into jail at 3:37 a.m. (et) and was being held on $9,500 bond. He was released in the afternoon and was charged with misdemeanor possession of a concealed weapon as well as felonies of carrying a weapon in a school zone and possession of an altered ID.
Hunter Mahan ran off seven birdies for a 6-under 65 at the AT&T National in temperatures that topped 100 degrees (38 C) on Friday.
It was the best score of the week at Congressional, and it gave him a two-shot lead over Robert Garrigus, Jimmy Walker and Brendon De Jonge.
Neither mother nature nor Kyle Busch could stop Jimmie Johnson from winning the pole for Saturday's Quaker State 400 at Kentucky Speedway.
Johnson benefited from cooler track temperatures during his qualifying run to post a lap at 181.818 mph. The five-time defending Sprint Cup Series champion claimed his 26th career pole but his first since September 2010 at Dover.
