2012 COLLEGE FOOTBALL’S TOP RUNNINGBACKS

  1. MONTEE BALL, WISCONSIN.  Heisman finalist, rushing for nearly 2,000 yards
  2. MARCUS LATTIMORE, SOUTH CAROLINA.   If health he’s one of the best
  3. KNILE DAVIS, ARKANSAS. 1,028 yards in final seven games
  4. RAY GRAHAM, PITTSBURGH.  Was second leading rusher in nation before injury
  5. JOSEPH RANDLE, OKLAHOMA STATE.  Has a lot of help at QB and WR
  6. GIOVANI BERNARD, NORTH CAROLINA.  All-ACC freshman, 1,253 yards 13TD
  7. FITZGERALD TOUSSAINT, MICHIGAN.  Had great second half of 2011
  8. STEPFAN TAYLOR, STANFORD.  Back to back 1,000 yard seasons
  9. ROBBIE ROUSE, FRESNO STATE.  Workhorse runningback
  10. ANDRE ELLINGTON, CLEMSON.  1,178 in 2011
  11. REX BURKHEAD, NEBRASKA.  Not flashy but worth 1,300 yards
  12. JOHN WHITE IV, UTAH.  1,519 yards in 2011
  13. KENJON BARNER, OREGON.  As a backup he rushed for 939 yards
  14. EDDIE LACY, ALABAMA.  The next Alabama star
  15. CHRISTINE MICHAEL, TEXAS A&M.  Must rebound from ACL injury
  16. ZACH LINE, SMU.   Another RB coming off an injury
  17. ZACH STACY, VANDY.  SEC’s leading rusher, 1,193 yards.
  18. CIERRE WOOD, NOTRE DAME.  1,102 rushing in 2011
  19. SILAS REDD, PENN STATE.  Looking for consistency
  20. ISAIH CROWELL, GEORGIA.  SEC freshman of the year
  21. CURTIS MCNEAL, USC.  Averaged 6.9 yards per carry
  22. Le’VEON BELL, MICHIGAN STATE.  948 yards 13 TD’s
  23. ONTERIO McCALEBB, AUBURN.  Small back gets more work in 2012
  24. PERRY JONES, VIRGINIA.  Good back and receiver (48 catches in 2011)
