The 9B Rebels prevailed over the host Cardinals by a score of 39-25. Autumn Larson tickled the twine for 14 points to help the 9B to victory.
The 9A Rebels watched a 14 point lead disappear in the second half and they dropped a tough one 41-38. The A team had good balance in terms of scoring with Kelsey Spoden scoring 9 and Sarah Watson and Mariya Sampson netting 8 a piece.
Our B squad fell 52-49. Kara Stuckmayer scored 14 while Erin Maglothin added 11 points.
The JV team moved to 20 and 2 on the season with a 46-34 win. It was a balanced scoring attack as Sarah Serie scored 8, Alli Zopfi added 7, and Taylor Whitehead and Nkem Nwaokolo scored 6 points a piece. The JV is now just 1 win away from locking up the JV conference title.
Our varsity Rebels trailed the entire first half but a 15-1 run to start the 2nd half put the Rebels in the drivers seat. The Cardinals would mount one final comeback to tie the score with 4 minutes remaining but an offensive rebound and putback by sophomore Kalli Zimmerman would break the tie with just over 2 minutes remaining and the Rebels would never trail again.
Champlin Park survived a cold shooting first half where they made only 5 of 19 shot attempts. They trailed 21-15 at intermission. Coming out of the locker room the Rebels showed a renewed energy on defense and they put the Cardinals on their heels for the first 8 minutes of the second half. The Champlin Park lead would grow to as much as 11, but the Cardinals were able to convert several second chances into baskets and they clawed back into the contest.
After regaining the lead the Rebels put the game out of reach at the free throw line and took very good care of the ball in the final 2 minutes.

Junior Kate Darnell had another strong performance pouring in 21 points. She was 11 for 14 at the free throw line. No other Rebel would reach double figures in scoring. Alyse Kaml scored 8 points and grabbed four rebounds. Hannah Marthaler led the team in rebounding once again hauling down 9 big boards.
As a team Champlin Park shot  37% for the game, but 44% in the second half. They were 19 for 32 at the free throw line. Coon Rapids shot 34% from the floor but they managed to make just 11 of their 23 free throw attempts.
The win moves the Rebels record to 13 and 11 on the season. Up next they have a showdown with NWSC leader Osseo. The Rebels will host the Orioles on Tuesday night. It is also senior night at CPHS so please come out and support Taylor Whithead, Kayla Jonason, Paige Scovil, and Alyse Kaml as they play their final home game.
