Home » Girls' Track & Field NewsState QualifiersMay 21, 2012 Richmond Burton High SchoolClass 2A Girls State Track & Field Meet~Also qualifying from the area were Richmond-Burton’s Roxanne Kelly in the triple jump (36-1), NWHerald 5/19/12 Busy schedule: Cary-Grove senior Sarah Ryan and Annie McGarrigle and Richmond-Burton’s Talia Sheedlo qualified in four events for the state meet. Ryan is in the 100, 200 and with C-G’s 4x100 and 4x200 relay teams. McGarrigle will run in all four relays. And Sheedlo qualified in the 100 high hurdles, 300 low hurdles, triple jump and with R-B’s 4x100 relay. By Joe Stevenson (5/18/12) Richmond-Burton's Kim Russell, Jordan Eisenberg, April Wanagas and Kara Russell qualified with a school-record 9:49.54. Kara Russell then came back and made it in the 800. The Rockets' Talia Sheedlo (100 high hurdles) and Elizabeth Kaht (pole vault) also qualified. "I feel really accomplished," Kara Russell said. "It was down to the last second when I almost pulled out of the 800. I didn't feel great after the 4x800. I just tried to do my best [in the 800] and I ran a [personal record]." (NWHerald 5/13/11)
