RBCHS announces changes in registration process for next school year

 Important changes will take place as to how Richmond Burotn Community High School (RBCHS) will handle the school registration process for all students.

In years' past, parents have been mailed home a large packet of forms and then, sometime in the beginning of August, arrived at the high school to turn in there forms, buy school items, take pictures and pay registration fees.  Forms will no longer be mailed home for registration starting this coming school year.

Over the years, many districts in the area have begun applying this new method to save on the cost of mailing and envelope processing.

Following suit, you will begin to print off and bring in forms you need to complete registration.  All forms will be available for registration on-line via the school website at http://www.rbchs.com/, no later than July 5.

If for whatever reason you are unable to print these forms off on your own, these forms will be availabe in the front office during the summer starting in June.  Watch the school website for more information and summer office hour times.  If you have any questions, contact the front office at (815)-678-4525.

New Feature - Online Registration:  After months of hard work from RB staff members and Skyward, parents will be given the opportunity to register online via Skyward Family Access.

Most forms that are filled out via the traditional method have been converted to electronic format and thanks to Revtrak, you can purchase all the supplies you see at registration (gym uniforms, yearbooks, locks, etc.) online via the new registration store. 

According to the school's website, the process is so seamless that when you arrive for the August registration days to take pictures, you will drop off an agreement form with you and your children's signatures pick up any items ordered, take your pictures and leave.  No more weaving lines and long waits. 

Information about online registration was sent home with the final report cards of the school year.

Registration dates for the 2010-2011 school year:

• Monday, Aug. 2, noon until 8 p.m.
• Tuesday, Aug 3, 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
• Wednesday, Aug 4, 8 a.m. to noon 
• Thursday, Aug. 5, and Friday, Aug 6 are the registration dates for new/transfer students by appointment only.
