In four-class sports, the splits will now be a straight 25 percent for each class. Before there were 27.78 percent each in Classes 1A and 2A and 22.22 percent each in Classes 3A and 4A. The other change is that in four sports where boys and girls teams compete in the same season – cross country, basketball, track and baseball/softball – the classification cutoffs will be identical.
