Coaches Description:

After returning key players (Paloucek, Brand, Sondag, and Unger), from last season's solid run, the Statesmen are poised to fill the gap left by Jordan Thompson.  The Statesmen will always be fun to watch, and these ladies feel that they are legit contenders.  Webster has no big scorers returning, but Rachael Sondag and Morgan Unger are eager to give it a try.  Both averaged around 6 to 7 points a game last season.  They will be looked upon to give the team that outside attack as well as driving to the basket.  Mary Kate Kerbler, Cami Unger, and Claire Conners will provide depth at the guard position.   The inside game is controlled by Abbie Paloucek, Leah Brand, and Mallory Moran!  They're a solid trio of bigs, who can score and protect the paint.  Paloucek and Brand averaged 7 to 9 points a game last season with 7 to 9 boards a game as well.  Moran brings energy and toughness off the bench to spell the other bigs.  The Statesmen finished 19-9 last season.
