Home » Boys' Basketball News2012-13 Boys' Basketball Team Workout for Queen City Prep AcademyMay 1, 2012 By Naundra Taylor of Queen City Preparatory AcademyCHARLOTTE, NC-Queen City Preparatory Academy is hosting a basketball workout for its 2012-13 Post-Graduate Boys' Basketball Team, Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 10:00 AM. The Trailblazers are looking for young men in grades 9-12 and recent high school graduates whose dream is to play college level basketball. You must complete an admissions application and provide the application fee in order to participate in the workout. Applications are available online at www.queencityprep.org and will be made available on the day of the workout. Queen City Prep is heading into its fifth season of post-graduate basketball. Our post-graduate basketball program is for young men that have successfully completed high school earning at least a 2.0 grade point average. We are dedicated to increasing opportunities for athletes to be recruited to play college basketball. Our players have the unique opportunity to mature while getting physically stronger. They gain the experience of playing college level basketball competing nationally against junior college basketball programs, including some of the top post-graduate teams in the country. Post-graduate basketball allows an athlete to play one year of basketball without loosing a year of college eligibilty. You should play post-graduate basketball if: 1) Your high school program did not get you the exposure you needed; 2) You received college offers but you feel you could get better college offers; 3) You need one more year to get stronger and to improve your game; and 4) You are not NCAA eligible because your grade point average or SAT/ACT Exam scores were too low. We can help! This year, our basketball program won the National Championship Title at the National Association of Christian Athletes 2012 Elite Boys Tournament! We went undefeated at home! We averaged 100 points per game, a new team record! Our 2012 game winning record is 37-7 for the Regular Season and our Pre-Season record was 5-0! We also were the Champions of the Queen City Classic Tournament and the New Year Prep Classic Tournament! Our players this year have received offers from: Ole Miss, Nebraska, Vanderbilt, West Kentucky, Cal State, Wofford, Hoffstra and George Mason and a host of other Division I and Division II programs. And, next season already promises to be even bigger and better!
