Home » Girls' Soccer NewsPark Vista outlasts WellingtonNovember 8, 2012 By Krystal Lamb of Park Vista Community High SchoolWednesday night was a cold one as the Cobras took on the Wolverines at Wellington High School. The game began and within minutes Delaney Schneider scored a beautiful header goal. Unfortunately, the referee called a foul on Delaney, no goal. Park Vista was flat the rest of the first half and found themselves down 1-0 at halftime. After the half, the Cobras began playing with more heart and worked the ball around the field. Right before the water break, Carleigh Hoelzel served the ball into the goal and Brittney Benedict found the back of the net! It was beautiful to watch! After the water break, the Cobras kept pressuring and holding off Wellington’s attacks. In the final moments of the game, Delaney Schneider made another beautiful header goal which counted and the Cobras won 2-1. The Cobras never let down and showed heart to come back and win that game! Come out and see your Varsity Cobras at Palm Beach Central on Friday at 6pm.
