Home » Swimming & Diving NewsWoodson Invitational Qualifiing Meet InfoSeptember 23, 2012 By Emily Painter of Park Vista Community High School49th Annual Woodson Invitational Saturday, September 29, 2012 Swimming Competition Information Sponsored By: Pine Crest School Place: Woodson Pool, 1501 NE 62nd Street,Fort Lauderdale, FL. 33334 NO BUS PROVIDED Directions: I-95 to Cypress Creek Blvd. Go East on Cypress Creek Blvd. Go past the railroad tracks and you will see the campus on the left hand side. Take the first possible entrance on the left hand side and park in the garage. Follow signs to the pool. Warm-ups: Prelims at 7:30 AM Finals at 3:00 PM Start Times: Prelims at 9:00 AM Finals at 4:30 PM Pool: 6 lanes by 25 yards will be used in the preliminaries. 6 lanes by 25 yards will be used in finals. There will be a separate 8 Lane 50 Meter pool for warm-up and warm-down the entire time. Girls and boys will alternate in the same course. Rules: The 2012-2013 National Federation of State High School Associations will govern the meet except as otherwise noted in the meet information. 500 Free: 1. Swimmers entered in the 500 Free must meet the qualifying standard: Girls: 6:30 Boys: 6:00 2. The 500 Free will be a timed final event with the Top 12 swimmers swimming during finals. All remaining heats will swim in the preliminaries. Relays: 1. Only one relay per school. 2. All Relays will be timed finals with the Top 12 Relays (2 heats) swimming duringf inals. All remaining heats will swim in the preliminaries. Finals: There will be 2 heats of finals Awards: Championship and Runner Up plaques for men and women’s team champions. The Ann Marshall Award for the outstanding female competitor and the Andy Coan Award for the outstanding male competitor, will be presented following the meet. Scoring: Individual: 16-13-12-11-10-9-7-5-4-3-2-1 Relay: 32-26-24-22-20-18-14-10-8-6-4-2 USA Swimming: The meet will be USA Swimming observed.
