Patriots 4th at Patriot Classic

The Patriot wrestlers medaled 6 en route to a 4th place finish overall in the 12 team Patriot Classic this past weekend.  Connor Kloeppel (106) rebounded from a loss in the pool play to Jackson's Jarrett Riesenbichler to finish 3rd, pinning his Lafayette opponent in the 3rd place match.  After a spectacular pool performance, Tyler Emerson (126) fell to Rock Bridge's Quinn Smith in the championship match.  Senior captain Matt Wandersee (132) was defeated by Rock Bridge's Jack Kiehne in the championship match after a dominant pool showing.  Michael Aldrich (160), Jacob Hayes (170), and Eddie Morris (195), each finished 4th to complete the Patriot's medal round.  Finishing 4th overall is the highest finish for the tournament host-Patriots since 2008.

On the JV side, freshman Brad Pitman finished 4th.

The Patriots are in action again Wednesday Dec. 5th at 6:00 p.m. at Eureka.
