A tale of two halves

December 10, 2012
By psouth hoops of Parkway South Basketball

It was a tale of two halves again for the Patriots as they traveled to Rockwood Summit on Friday night losing by the score of 60-52. South fell behind early and saw two starters go to the bench with two fouls and trailed 15-7 after one quarter. With Matt Highsmith and Chris Dandridge on the bench for much of the second quarter, Summit went to the locker room at the half leading 30-19. In the second half however, South put on a full court press and was able to cut into the lead with the help of Cam Collier’s two threes and Dandrige’s 10 of his game high 18 points in the third. Parkway South was able to take the lead 49-48 with 4:19 to play in the game but they were out scored 12-4 after that lead. Dandridge led all scores with 18 points, Highsmith added 15, Collier and Jeremy Verges had eight each to lead the Patriots.
