November 27, 2012
By psouth hoops of Parkway South Basketball

The Parkway South Patriots lost to the visiting Parkway Central Colts on Monday night 62-54.  For the most part, the game was back and forth with several lead changes.  The Colts were able to pull away slightly late in the fourth quarter and hold on to get their first win of the season.

The Patriots trailed by six at half but stormed back to take a lead early in the third.  South would eventually lose the lead with about 4 minutes to go in the fourth quarter and would never regain it.  The Patriots were marred by some untimely shooting decisions and 18 turnovers.  The Patriots did manage to force 16 turnovers and shot well from beyond the 3 point line going 7-15.   They also shot well from the charity stripe going 11-14.

South was led by Jr. Chris Dandridge who had 17 points and 6 rebounds.  Senior Captain Courtland Rogers added 12 points, 3 assists, and 3 steals.  The other two Captains for South, Jeremy Verges and Matt Highsmith, added 19 points on 6-21 shooting.

Next up for the Patriots is the Parkay West Longhorns Wednesday 11/28/12 at 7:00 pm at South.
