Providence Senior Pierce Crawley Signs
National Letter of Intent Athletic Scholarship to Play
Men’s Soccer at Bellarmine University
Providence Athletic Director Mickey Golembeski announces that the Pioneer’s Pierce Crawley has signeda national letter of intent athletic scholarship to Bellarmine University to play soccer at the NCAA
Division II school.
At Our Lady of Providence High School, Pierce played varsity soccer all four years and was team captain his senior year. This year, he led his team to the final four, the first time in school history. He was named
Offensive MVP (2010 and 2012) and Overall MVP (2011 and 2012). Pierce also was selected to the IHSAA District 6 First Team and selected IHSAA All-State Honorable Mention. Pierce also played the majority of his club soccer for the Javanon Soccer Club. In 2011, Pierce was on the
US Development Academy U16 team for Indiana United. In 2012, he was a member of United 1996 FC 95 International, which won the Kentucky State Championship. Bellarmine University Head Soccer Coach Tim Chastonay said, "We are very excited Pierce has decided to attend Bellarmine as a student athlete. His work in the classroom and on the playing field truly represent what we look for in our student athletes. Pierce has all the technical and physical abilities to make an
immediate impact on our squad. He has a bright future here at Bellarmine."
