JUSTIN THOMAS WINS METRO PLAYER OF THE YEAR AWARD

THOMAS WILL PLAY COLLEGIATE AT GEORGIA TECH

Justin Thomas, Prattville’s senior quarterback, was selected by the Montgomery Advertiser as the Player of the Year for his performance during the 2011 football season.

Thomas led the Prattville Lions to a 12-2 record and to an exhilarating 35-34 win over Hoover in the state class 6A championship game played at the University of Alabama’s Bryant-Denny Stadium, Friday night December 2, 2011.

Thomas ended his career at Prattville High as one of the most prolific offensive players in the history of the school.

A starter since his sophomore season Thomas ended a three year career with 5,168 total yards of offense.

Thomas also was named the most valuable player in the state championship game in 2011, his senior season.

He has committed to Georgia Tech to play collegiate this fall.
