LADY LIONS RUN PAST LANIER POETS IN BLOW OUT, 57-13

DANIELE EWERT & JAE PATTERSON POST DOUBLE-DOUBLES IN BIG WIN

 

Prattville’s Lady Lions breezed to a 7-0 run Tuesday night, January15 at Powell Gymnasium in their home encounter with the Sidney Lanier Poets and never looked back in a 57-13 rout.

Daniele Ewert grabbed a steal under Lanier’s nets, flipped in a two-pointer with ease for a 2-0 Prattville lead.  The easy bucket ignited a 7-0 run, broken at the 4:58 mark by a deuce from Q. Williams.

 The Lions then ended the first period with a 14-0 run and an overwhelming, 21-2 lead.

It did not get any better by halftime, as Prattville built a halftime margin of 38-4.

By the end of the third period it was 53-12

Daniele Ewert led the Lions with a double double, 22 points and 16 rebounds; Jae Patterson followed with another double double, 20 rebounds and 11 points.  Aaliyah Holmes added six assists and seven points.
