Prattville’s boys;’ junior varsity were humiliated Tuesday night December 11 at Jeff Davis, 66-18. The game began with Jeff Davis blowing to a 10-0 run, before Lions’ Nequan Brown hit the front end of a two shot free throw with 1:59 left in the first period. It ended with another run by the Vols, this one an 8-1 with the only Lion score a free throw from Javier Dudley. Trailing 18-2 it did not get any better in the second quarter as Jeff Davis raced to a 36-8 halftime margin. Prattville was outscored in the third quarter 22-5 and in the final period, 8-5, ending a terrible performance. Head coach Kevin Bozeman and assistant coach Brandon Vaughn both remarked following the game that they had a “tremendous job ahead to mold these kids into basketball team.” With the defeat the jayvees fell to 1-6 on the young season. Jeremiah Seay was top scorer for the Lions with five points, while CJ Coleman added four points, three of those coming on the lone trey for Prattville. Kyle Petit and Levail Winters both added three points. Josh Davenport was high point score for the afternoon with 14- points for Jeff Davis, while Devonta Cox added ten points.
