Prattville’s freshmen basketball team opened its 2012-2013 season last week with a home opener against the Selma Saints’ freshmen with a 59-43 win. The Lions frosh blistered the Saints frosh in the first quarter 16-6 and never looked back to post the win. By halftime Prattville led 30-16 as Braxton James and Kingston Davis paced the scoring attack. Davis tossed in ten points while James added four The second half Prattville continued to roll, holding off a blistering third quarter by the Saints. Selma closed the gap to 42-33. Prattville then closed out the game with a 17-point fourth quarter barrage to win going away. C. J Coleman got the hot hand in the second half ripping the chords for three 3-pointers to pace all scorers with 16 points. Kingston Davis added 13 points and Braxton James added ten points. Kedrick Lawrence finished with eight points.
