Vikings Ground the Falcons

Vikings down the Falcons  

On Tuesday afternoon the Vikings took on the Falcons of A Maceo Smith in the last ever district meeting with the team. The Vikings had an outstanding offensive explosion scoring 25 runs on 27 hits.

The Vikings were led by Osman Muniz who went 4 for 4 with 4 doubles and scored 4 runs. Felix Anguiano Jr. chipped in with a 4 for 4 performance getting 2 singles, a double and a triple. Pedro Barco also added on a 3 for 3 performance with an inside the park HR and a double and a single. Finally, Daniel Thomas added his first HR as a high school player.

Defensively the Vikings were led by senior pitcher Pedro Barco, who went 3 innings in a complete game 1 hitter. He had 7 strikeouts and 3 walks. He was able to knotch his 2^nd win of the year.

With the win, the Vikings season record goes to 9 wins and 12 losses and are now 5 and 5 in district play.

The Vikings next opponent is the Adamson Leopards. With a win over the Leopards, the Vikings will be very close to that elusive playoff appearance.
