The academy, is open to boys and girls entering grades 3-9 in the Fall of 2012, will run June 11-14, 2012. Tuition for the four-day session is $40 (if you register by May 20th) or $50 (if your register after May 20th). The first 25 campers that register will receive a free gift. The camp features quality fundamental instruction and specializes in individual attention in all phases of the game of basketball. All participants will learn the skills that will build the foundation for success in basketball. Campers will be organized by age group and will participate in daily skills contests and league games. The academy will end on Thursday with an awards ceremony. Each camper will receive a skill development report card along with a Certificate of Completion. The best part of the academy is the character development session, which will help form our future leaders of the community. Pinecrest Head Men’s Basketball Coach Andrew Lacey, will be directing the basketball academy along with his staff. Coach Lacey has been directing the basketball academy for the past seven years in Virginia. There will also be special guest speakers as well as former players and current players assisting with the skill development. To register for this academy, print a brochure from the Pinecrest Men’s Basketball page found on the Pinecrest High School website. For more information contact Coach Lacey at 910-692-6554 (x5377).
