Home » Men's Bowling NewsBears Men's Bowing Team finishes 6th in 2011 Brunswick SouthernNovember 7, 2011 By Kyle Wilson of University of PikevilleMarietta, GA......The UPIKE Bears Men's Bowing Team competed in their first Tier 1 event of the year and finished 6th in the 2011 Brunswick Southern Collegiate Classic held at Brunswick Zone-Austell Lanes. The Bears were in 2nd place after 1 team game on Saturday. However, bad spare shooting throught the day found the Bears in 4th place at the end of Saturday. On Sunday, bad spare shooting continued as the Bears lingered between 4th and 5th place most of the day, however dropped to 6th in the final 2 baker matches of the day.On Saturday, in Singles, Junior Mark Allen Led the team with a 6 game total, of 1229. a 203.83 average.The Bears will be back in action, November 12-13, as they travel to Dayton, Ohio to defend their 2009 & 2010 Raider Classic Titles.
