Bears finish 40th in 2012 Hoosier Classic

Indianapolis, IN.........The UPIKE Bears Men's Bowling team competed in the 2012 Backhaul Direct Hoosier Classic, presented by Columbia 300, this past weekend, at Western Bowl.  The Hoosier is the biggest collegiate event of the season with 77 different mens programs represented from all of the United States.

The Bears, only filling 77% of their frames for the 9 game event.  The bears posted team scores, of 845, 925, 952, 909,921, 847, 869, 839, & 949, which in the end had them in 40th place.  The Bears averaged 179 as a team.

Leading the Bears individually was Fidel Marchena, of the Dominican Republic, with a 192 average.  Other team members included, John Bartosiewicz Jr., of Sewell, NJ; Cory Cotterman, of Sidney, OH; Francsisco Gamero, of El Salvador; Robert Gilliam, of Pecotonica, IL; Lucas Hohnstein, of Boise, ID; Kyle McInerney, of Davision, MI; and Derek Perkins, of Oklahoma City, OK.
