10 Panther Wrestlers Make All Conference Team

The Panther Wrestling Team is celebrating with many post season honors after its best season in school history. The Panthers beat their rival Park Hill for the first time, won the Suburban White Conference with an 18-4 dual record, took 2nd place at districts, and finished 9th in state in Class 4. Ten Panthers were recognized as All Conference, also the most in school history. JR Alex Fortuna 113lbs first team all conference, SR Brett Rounkles 120lbs first team all conference, SO George Barth 126lbs first team all conference, JR Jimmy Carpenter 132lbs first team all conference, SR Justin Haughenberry 145lbs first team all conference, JR Adam Weatherly 152lbs first team all conference, JR Alex Weatherly 160lbs first team all conference, JR Kenric Cook 170lbs second team all conference, JR Chase Gray 182lbs first team all conference, and SR Nick Gillespe 195lbs first team all conference. FR Dylen Propes earned the Most Improved JV Wrestler award, JR Kenric Cook earned the Varsity Most Improved Award, JR Chase Gray and SR Nick Gillespe both took home the Outstanding Wrestler award, and Chase Gray also took home the Panther Pride award.
