The Pirate senior collected three hits and picked up a save as Skyline-leading Phoenix defeated Hidden Valley 9-6 at the Mustangs' diamond. Treadway retired 6 of 7 batters in two innings of scoreless relief to register his first save on the season. He also went 3-for-4 with three RBIs and three runs. Treadway gave the Pirates a 9-6 advantage with a two-run homer in the sixth inning. Phoenix (8-7, 5-1 Skyline) grabbed a 4-0 lead in the second with the help of an RBI single by Joey Keith and Andrew Reynoso's two-run single. After the Mustangs' cut their deficit to 4-2 in the bottom of the second, the Pirates added three more in the fourth. Treadway's RBI single and a two-run single by Tim Keith highlighted the rally. Justin Bohn added two hits for the Pirates along with Joey Keith and Andrew Reynoso. For Hidden Valley (6-4, 4-3), Jamie Schmidt and Joe Wardle each had two hits and Gregory Hurd smacked a three-run homer.
