Lady Pirates fall in tourney

BANDON 41, PHOENIX 33 — At Brookings, junior forward Baylee Toney led Phoenix with 10 points, 17 rebounds and four steals in the opening round of the four-team Brookings-Harbor Invitational.

Bailee Tally offered up 10 points and Delanie Tally added five assists and four steals for the Pirates (1-1), who made just 10 of their 68 field-goal attempts against Bandon (2-0). Phoenix cut its deficit to three in the third quarter before again going cold.
