Dungannon amassed 31 points as the Pirates were able to take care of the Pelicans, 70-53, in a Skyline Conference seeding game of the second- and third-seeded teams at Phoenix High School. The Pirates (21-4) will try to pry the Skyline's top seed away from North Valley in Merlin on Saturday at 7 p.m. The Pirates built the lead to as many as 25 in the third quarter, but the Pelicans' Alex Stork caught fire and had a stretch in the fourth quarter when he hit three straight 3-pointers. Stork and Klamath Union were able to slice their deficit to 14, but Dungannon helped hold the Pelicans off with 11 of his 18 second-half points coming in the final period. Dungannon hit five 3-pointers in the contest and added five rebounds and five assists. Alex Young recorded 17 points, 13 rebound and seven assists, which gave him 150 helpers this year to set Phoenix's all-time single-season assist record. KU's stork finished with 22 points.
