Pirates Pull Out a Win in Offensive Struggle

PHOENIX 52, HIDDEN VALLEY 28 — At Murphy, strong defense and a hot hand by Calvin Loper propelled No. 5 Phoenix to the Skyline win.

Loper scored a season-high 13 points, more than double his average of 6.2, and the Pirates (20-4, 8-2 Sky) outscored the Mustangs (5-19, 1-9) by 17 points in the second half.

Alex Young, who was 8-for-8 on free throws, had 16 points and five rebounds, Tyler Dungannon contributed 10 points and Dalton Richardson had five boards.

Bryce Richardson paced Hidden Valley with nine points.
