Person High SchoolThe prevailing school of thought in sports is that it's extremely difficult to defeat a worthy opponent three straight times in one season.
That was the task the Person Rocket boys faced in the final round of the 18th Annual Halifax Holiday Tournament Wednesday night at the Halifax High School gym.
As it turned out, the Rockets passed the test with flying colors by earning a surprisingly easy 65-47 win over the host Halifax Comets to capture their second consecutive Halifax tourney championship.
It was the second straight year Person collected tournament title wins at both the Courier=Times Thanksgiving Classic in November and the Halifax Christmas event.
