Goodson named PAC-6 Coach of the Year!

Person girls' head varsity basketball coach Melinda Goodson admitted she was caught off guard after being named Piedmont Athletic Conference Coach of the Year for the 2008-09 season. Goodson, who helped lead the Rocket girls to the state championship finals during her playing days back in 1995, coached this year's squad to a 6-8 regular-season finish in the PAC-6, which was good enough to earn fifth place and a state playoff berth.
