Rockets drill Hornets, 15-5, improve to 3-0 in PAC-6

Person High SchoolThe Person baseball team couldn't have asked for a better start to its Piedmont Athletic Conference season.
The Rockets improved to 3-0 in league play by scoring a 15-5 mercy-rule win over the Hillside Hornets Tuesday afternoon at Hillside.
A nine-run uprising in the top of the second inning, two scores in the third, and four more tallies in the fifth were enough to end the contest after five innings.
Ace Dylan Dickens got the start and threw three shutout innings to notch his second win of the season and even his record at 2-2. Hilliside managed just one hit off Dickens, who fanned five batters and gave up one walk.
