Trailing by seven points after three quarters, the Person Rocket girls held the Jordan Falcons without a field goal in the final eight minutes to come away with a 50-43 PAC-6 victory Wednesday evening at Rocket Gymnasium.

In fact, all the Falcons could muster was seven free throws in the fourth period. They probably wish they had been more productive at the charity stripe. Jordan missed eight foul shots in the final quarter alone and shot less than 50 percent (10-26) from the line in the game.

As consequence, that statistic played no small role in costing the visitors a win.
Meanwhile, the Rockets, who captured sole possession of fourth place in the confeence at 3-4 (9-10 overall), revved up their defensive intensity in the fourth and outscored Jordan, 21-7, to emerge triumphant after entering the final stanza down by a 36-29 score.
"I told the players how important this game was for us," said Rocket head coach Tracy Allen, whose team has gone 7-4 since opening the campaign 2-6. "In the first half there was just something missing with our intensity. But we got ourselves out of it and the intensity came back."
