Perry Central’s Austin Pray will be taking over the quarterback position this season. Many of the Commodores’ opponents will be looking for Pray at the receiver position, but due to the departure of Kyle Huff, Pray will move over to call the signals.
The Perry County Central Commodores will be looking to build on last year’s record eight-win regular season and first ever playoff win for the school.
Austin Pray, who has gained the attention of several college scouts and coaches, is expected to take over as quarterback this year. Pray amassed some impressive numbers last season as a receiver, and has completed more than 100 receptions for 1,500 yards over his career.
The Commodores will be having to replenish their ranks, however, after losing several key players, including one of the state’s top defensive players in Matt Robinson, who will be playing next season alongside several of his teammates at the University of Pikeville, including Jared Deaton, Jay White, Kyle Huff and Bryan Rankin.
