After a delicious meal, Voices sang and danced to many familiar songs from Disney movies. Senior Bethanny Loucks choreographed one of the songs for the group and did a fantastic job. The group did a great job, presenting lots of music and dancing. A big ‘Thank You’ to all the parents who helped with Dinner Theatre!

The PBJH and PBHS Bands presented a Music In Our Schools Month Concert on Thursday, March 15. The concert opened with an arrangement by Mr. Glover of ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’ performed by the High School Flutes and guest soloist Dr. Catherine Bergman. The Junior High Band then presented their portion of the concert. The ensembles that played at the music festival performed for the audience, as well as the entire Band, which also performed their selections from the music festival. Following the Junior High Band was the High School Band, which featured several selections with soloists. Student soloists featured during the concert were McKenzie Ensminger, alto saxophone, Bethanny Loucks, flute, and Seth Topham, baritone saxophone. A flute trio of Dr. Catherine Bergman, Bethanny Loucks, and Amy Wedel also performed, accompanied by Mr. Glover on the piano. Two special guest soloists also performed with the Band. Mr. Greg Bergman, Band Instructor in the Newton School District, played a trumpet solo with the band and Dr. Catherine Bergman, flute instructor at Emporia State University, performed a flute solo with the Band. The concert concluded with a medley from ‘The Sound of Music’. Both groups did a great job at the concert.
