Ladyhound Alexis Tye Breaks School Scoring Record

   Junior guard Alexis Tye hit for a school-record 43 points during the Ladyhounds’ 62-43 season opening victory over Eminence. Tye's previous high, who came close to outscoring Eminence’s entire team, was 26.

   Tye finished her evening hitting on 16-of-23 shots that included a 5-for-10 performance behind the three-point line. She also hit on 6-of-10 free throws. She broke the previous Ladyhound scoring record of 41 points that was held by former sharpshooter Natalie Tubbs, who set her record back in 2005.

   Junior guard Kaliyah Marks finished her night with 5 points, 6 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals, while eighth grader Marenza Dray hit 3-of-4 three point goals for 9 points.
