Paris Golfers Play in Regional Tourney

Paris High School


The Paris Golf Team participated in the Golf Region Tournament at The Winchester Country Club on Tuesday, September 28, 2010.  Paris came in 13^th out of 20 Teams which is a big improvement over last year.  The five players who participated and their scores are:

Jake Gubitz - 79
Justin Baker - 83
Evan Carpenter - 89
Halen Stamper - 104
Landon Allen - 97

Coach Steve Lewis said, "I am extremely proud of my team this year.  Our overall record was 9 Wins and 6 Losses and we also had four matches in the last couple of weeks canceled where we could have probably won three of those.  I am expecting better things next year as Jake is my only Senior and he has been a good leader for the rest of the players as he tries to point out wrong techniques or let them know they are not following through or over swinging."
