Paris 4, Bath 1

A very physical Bath County came out strong.  This was a game not to be taken lightly. Chelsea Parrish at one point was taken down real hard, no ball played at all, but was able to pull herself up and continue play.  A little shook up, Parrish was fired up then.  She is our center back and Bath County knew they had to break through her to get to goal.  She was then aggressively marked by an attacker.  Recognizing this, we pulled Akhira Umar back and marked the attacker, freeing Parrish up to continue to lead the defense without obstruction.
Paris Lady Hound Tiarra Myers had the first goal from outside the box with a well-placed left footer, assisted by Cecilia Blanco.
A foul on Bath County set up the second goal.  Chelsea Parrish was awarded a direct kick an put it right on the keeper's hands,  She deflected it and Jazmin Perez finished it off on the back post.
Still a little frustrated from the Model game, Akhira Umar worked at the goal an answered by beating the last defender with her speed and finished the shot, assisted by Marenza Dray.
Second half Umar again found the back of the net unassisted.  She used her speed to beat the keeper one v. one.
Keeper Hunter Harrison had 9 saves.  With 5 minutes remaining, a handball in the box gave Bath County a chance at goal with a penalty kick, costing Harrison a shut-out.
