Cary Barr and Bob Eades honored by the KABC

Congratulations to former Paris High School coaches Cary Barr and Bob Eades on their induction into the 2013 Kentucky High School Basketball Coaches (KABC) Coaches Court of Honor.

The Court of Honor Individual Award is presented to each recipient at the annual Sweet 16 Tournament. Barr and Eades were recognized between games at this year’s KHSAA Boys’ quarterfinal games. Earlier that day, they had an Awards Reception for the honorees' family and friends.

With this honor, a commemorative brick will be installed in the KHSAA courtyard in recognition of their accomplishment. The Court of Honor is the circular part of the courtyard near the middle of the state. There should also be publicity for the honorees at the State and Local level.

To receive this honor, a recipient must have coached high school basketball in Kentucky, while making a certifiable impact or contribution to the game of basketball at the high school level in Kentucky. They also must have displayed good moral and ethical conduct during his or her career.

Bob Eades coached at Paris between the mid 80’s to the mid 90’s. Cary Barr took over after Eades left and coached the boy’s team until he stepped down five years ago.
