Paris Marching Band Prepares for State Quarter-finals

The Paris High School Marching Band will compete this Saturday, October 31, 2009 in the KMEA Class A East Regional Quarter-Final Marching Competition to be held at Madison Southern High School in Berea, Kentucky. The band will take the field at 6:30 p.m. under the direction of Mr. Phil Grigson and field commanders Erin Grigson and Tori Harris. The band is vying for one of eight spots granted to bands in the eastern division for semi-final competition to be held in Louisville the following Saturday, November 7, 2009. Should the band finish in one of the top four spots this weekend, they will march in one of the final eight spots the following weekend. If the band finishes in the bottom four spots, they will march in one of the first eight spots during semi-final competition. Semi-final competition will also feature the top eight bands from the western division. Saturday's schedule is listed below.
