The Paris Greyhounds made it two in a row as they defeated the Berea Pirates by the score of 3-2.  It was a close game all the way as Paris got out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning.  Ben Cooke had the big bat in the inning as he singled to drive in two runs.  Berea came back in the third inning and tied it up as they scored two runs.  It was pretty much a defensive game and pitcher’s duel as the Greyhounds managed to score a run in the 5th inning to go ahead for good.  Landon Allen had the game winning hit as he drove in Logan West who had singled.  Logan West went the distance for the Greyhounds as he allowed 5 hits and struck out 9.  “This was a good win for our team.  Logan West pitched his heart out and we played good defense behind him.  We need to hit the baseball better than we did today, but I’ll take a one run win any day.  This was good for Logan’s confidence.  This was a good team win,” said Coach Cary Barr.
