Alumni Interviews--Where Are They Now?
Teacher Feature: Ms. Dowell
October 14, 2010By Baylee Hardman of Centralia High School Activities
Ms. Dowell is a Centralia graduate, and she works with the counselors every other day at the high school. She graduated from Missouri State with a degree in psychology. She then worked to get her master's degree at Stephens College. Ms. Dowell has a brother and a sister, and she loves to travel, shop, and read. Her favorite sport to watch is wrestling since she was a former wrestling cheerleader in high school.
When asked what some of her favorite things about CHS are, she replied, "I know people. It's nice to come back and not be a student. A lot of things have changed since I attended school here. There are more options for the students."
Ms. Dowell is not exactly a counselor yet. She is working on her internship/practicum as a student teacher with Mrs. Dickerson, Mrs. Dimmitt, and Mrs. Ford. She comments, "I'm sort of their tag-along!"
