JV Girls Off to Hot Start

This years JV girls basketball team is off to a hot start, led by coach Jeff Martin. So far this season their record is 7-2. Their wins have come from Macon, Fayette, Southern Boone, Paris, Tipton, Macon, and North Callaway. Their only two loses this season have come from Moberly in an overtime thriller where they were downed 39 to 37. Their other loss came to Blair Oaks on the road. This season Centralia has outscored their opponents 285 to 228, and their average score is 36 to 29. The Lady Panthers leading scorers this year are Morgan Horn with 63 points. Savana Taylor and Katie Parker both have 57 points on the season. Horn averages 7 points per game, while Parker and Taylor each add 6 points a game. The Panthers play Thursday the 17th against the Brookfield Bulldogs. They have eight more games left this season, where they look to keep their hot start rolling.
