JV Girls’ Basketball Interview With Mr. Martin, Head Coach

Q: What are you looking forward to this basketball season?

A: Getting back to coaching basketball. I missed doing it last year.


Q: How many girls are on the team?

A: We have 22 players on the Varsity/JV squad.


Q: What does the season competition look like?

A: Girls’ basketball is rapidly becoming more competitive. Most of our games will be very challenging.


Q: Who’s your biggest challenge?

A: We usually have very competitive games with Hallsville, Blair Oaks, and Macon.


Q: What do you think is the team’s strongest point?

A: The work ethic is strong; this group works pretty hard.


Q: What do you think will be the team’s strongest area of improvement?

A: Our shooting needs to improve.


Q: Will there be any changes this basketball season compared to previous years? (Schedules, tournaments, etc.)

A: Playing in the Southern Boone County tournament.


Q: How long does the season last?

A: Our first game is November 27, and the last game is February 14.

 

Q: What are your goals for the team?

A: Consistent play, improvement


Q: Is there anything else you would like to add about this upcoming basketball season?

A: I am excited to get back to coaching basketball.
