Centralia Has Steller Performance at Competiton

Centralia has winning day in competition Wednesday. Gina Olsen placed second in the state Missouri Pork Association Public Speaking contest. She recieved $150.00 and a plaque for her great performance.

Mitch Schmidt was named the Area IV Star Farmer. Savannah Nagell was named the Area IV Star Agribusinessman (woman). Lastly, Barrett Powell was named the Area IV Star in Placement. These three young farmers will now move on to compete for the State Star title at the State FFA Convention in April.

The next competition is on wednesday night where the FFA crew will be taking their proficiency applications.

Centralia will be hosting a large leadership competition on Febuary 27th. There will be students from all over the state in Centralia that day. FFA are in need of over 30 judges for speaking and leadership competitions. The contest will begin at 4:30. If you are available to help judge that night FFA would love to have you. Please let Scott Stone or Lori Lewis know.
