The Paint Valley offense scored 50-plus points for the second straight week, and once again, Parker enjoyed a big night. The senior rushed for 247 yards and four touchdowns. Parker is currently averaging well over 10 yards per touch, and this week's performance puts Parker over the 1,000 yard mark for the season. Parker and PV visit ZT in Week 10.
We knew we were going to have our first, two-time winner this week. The question was which ZT girl would win? In the end, Roepke edged out Hatfield by a single vote. In a week where Roepke was named SVC Player of the Year, she also delivered 33 kills and 11 digs in a five-set sectional championship win over Nelsonville-York on Thursday night. The win advances ZT to this week's districts.

Ross and Valentine crossed one, two in Saturday's district at Rio Grande. The Unioto boys' team won the D-II title to advance to next week's regional.
Nick Gardner, Paint Valley (Cross Country): PV's top runner was less than a second from a distict championship Saturday at Rio Grande. Still his second-place finish led his Bearcats to a second-place team finish which puts them in next week's D-III regional.
Brandon Magill, Luke Hocker, & Logan Groves, Huntington (Cross Country): Running just as individuals, this trio finished 7th, 11th, and 14th in Saturday's district meet.
John Johnson & Collin Detty (Adena): Another pair getting votes together this week. Johnson rushed 28 times for 111 yards while Detty (playing for the injured Reid Hutchison) carried it 15 times for 102 yards. Adena defeated Piketon in Week 9.
