Paint Valley High School has brought back a face from the past to help revive their boys basketball program.
Former coach Dave Shoemaker has been hired to take the position vacated by the resignation of Richard Wolfe following this past season.
Shoemaker led the Bearcats to an SVC championship in the 1992-93 season, earning him SVC "Coach of the Year" honors that season.
He later resigned following the 1995-96 season. Shoemaker also served as athletic director for Paint Valley between 1997-2006, until football coach Pete Hollon took the reins.
