In todays time, the average American eats 33 pounds of salt and 70 pounds of sugar a year, and health experts say those trends triggered the obesity rate that has left millions at risk of heart disease, diabetes and other chronic health conditions.

Most of these foods that contain salt and sugar are processed foods made in factories. Scientists have made several different forms of both salt and sugar to meet our desires and send products flying off of the shelves in stores.

With the rate of heart disease increasing due to consumers addiction to salt and sugar the worlds health is decreasing more and more each day. The addiction that humans have to these products are every bit as addictive as narcotics.
